Our heart is to see homeschool
athletes have options!
HLA Preparatory School was created to provide homeschool athletes wanting to play competitive sports with public FHSAA member schools an opportunity to do so without having to give up quality umbrella school benefits and services.
Note: Students wanting to play with a member FHSAA private school will need to enroll with that school
and/or file a notice of intent with the county. They cannot be enrolled with HLA Prep
(non-member private school) and a member private school.
Laura Brunner is the HLA Prep counselor and can help you with getting started and enrollment questions. Crystal Allen is our "Athletic Director" and will be your contact for eligibility questions and getting forms filled out and submitted as well as NCAA questions..
NCAA Information: It's important for our families to know that even in FL, the NCAA considers ALL HLA Prep students as homeschoolers. HOWEVER, when they register, they will list HLA Prep as their school and select "Private" school, since that's how we are registered with them. Otherwise, the NCAA will require BOTH homeschool and HLA Prep transcripts and will bug them because the "homeschool" transcripts are missing. They will also require the 2 homeschool forms for independent homeschoolers that are not required for our students.
NEW PIN 32905 - It's the same as the zip code, just like our other school acct.
